Have You Picked Up the Little Dispatch Yet?

The latest issue of The Little Dispatch, the kids’ section of the Rivertowns Dispatch, is on newsstands and in mailboxes today!

This month's newspaper is packed with the kind of stories only kids can tell:

🧙‍♂️ Beckett, 11, shares his love of Magic: The Gathering with his readers by going straight to an expert source, a local dad who has been playing since he was 14.

🐙 Ayla, 10, and Beckett team up for a "Cute Animal Edition" of Two Truths and a Lie (axolotls, vampire bats, blobfish, and dumbo octopuses). Can you spot the lie?

🫜 Jimena, 7, reports on the Science Barge, a floating greenhouse in Yonkers where you can learn about the Hudson River and the environment.

🐉 Chloe, 8, and Lauren, 8, take readers on a world tour of mythical creatures that go far beyond dragons.

Pick up your copy of the Rivertowns Dispatch at local newsstands and libraries this week only!

About the Newspaper Club

Young journalists run a real newsroom! Students pitch stories, conduct interviews, and see their work published in the Little Dispatch, the kids-only section of the Rivertowns Dispatch. From editorial meetings to bylines, this after-school program gives kids authentic journalism experience while building confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills. Enrollment for our fall session opens in July.
