Spring Newspaper Club
Young reporters and editors engage in all aspects of newspaper production, from pitching ideas to interviewing, reporting, editing, illustrating and planning for publication.
Through a collaborative partnership with the Rivertowns Dispatch, the local, independent newspaper of the Rivertowns, selected work from the fall Newspaper Club will be published in the Little Dispatch, a kids-only section of the print newspaper.
This class meets weekly from 5:15-6:30 at HudCo (145 Palisade Street, Dobbs Ferry, New York) on the following TUESDAYS in the winter and spring of 2026:
JANUARY 27
FEBRUARY 3, 10, 24
MARCH 3, 10, 17, 24
APRIL 7, 14, 21, 28
MAY 5, 12, 19
PLEASE NOTE: A FIELD TRIP MAY BE SCHEDULED. This optional hands-on reporting experience will take place in the field at a location accessible to Rivertowns families. Transportation will not be provided. Field trip details are subject to change due to weather or scheduling considerations.
Open to children in Grades 2-6.
Tuition assistance and scholarships are available.
We offer a $50 sibling discount.
The maximum capacity for this class is 12 students.
